Meditation is great, especially very early in the morning, i usually feel i can take on the world. Its a great form of stress reliever and all you need to really do is relax, breathe and enjoy some quiet time.
:D meditation is a constant! not only when we "decide" to practice it... i think! because in this days is so hard to many people to get enough time to dedicate only for meditation. that`s why i thing if we stay in focus, contemplating everything and breathing correctly, and avoiding negtaive situations, it`s a good alternative in this days, but nothing like go to mountains, a river, the sea, country and not only relax... even walking, meditation can be done... the more efective i think, is a dedicated time for meditation for a good period of time, often, in a vacation.... i miss that...
Yes, meditation is a good way to percept everithing that surrond us. Well do you practice meditation, also? Is this a question to how do others do for meditate? Well if you do meditation tell us how it fell's like.
Swami Satyananda Saraswati says that meditative state is something in which you can not go willingly; it is something that will came spontaneously. Willingly you can only sit in meditative posture, relax your body, and concentrate on some object to relax your mind, than meditative state may appear. I'm practicing antar mouna, yoga nidra and lately chakra awareness and chaturta pranayama as a part of chakra sadhana. Yoga nidra is relaxation of body and mind, practiced in shavasana. Antar mouna is practice for expanding the conciseness and developing the state of witness, and in advanced version of practice the final state is thoughtlessness. Chaturta pranayma is practice of awareness of the breath and chakras.
Meditation is great. I did an around the world trip travelling for 13 months. The trip finished with a 10-day vipassana (meditation) course in Chiang Mai, Thailand. It was the best experience of the wohle trip. If i had to chosse one thing of these 13months i always would take these 10 days! Since then (3 years) i have a daily meditation practice and my life has changed su much! If you are interesseted have a look here: www.dhamma.org of course you can also start your meditation at home but it easier to want to get to a constant meditation practice to start with a 10-day retreat.
What a pitty! at first, I thought that "Albufeira" was Albufera, in Valencia city (Spain). Later, I´ve was looking for in your private information, JCDiver, and I´ve understood that it would be imposible to do meditation in group to me...
